Dr. Julian E. Davila
Dr. Julian Davila is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to creating functional, balanced, and long-lasting smile transformations. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating summa cum laude. He then completed a residency in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by his Orthodontics Specialty Certificate and Master of Science degree at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Davila became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists in June 2006 and is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, the Indiana Association of Orthodontists, the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association.
His treatment philosophy centers on functional efficiency, facial harmony, and long-term stability through individualized, diagnosis-driven care. He is especially passionate about complex treatment planning, growth modification, and interdisciplinary cases. Dr. Davila ensures every treatment decision aligns with each patient’s needs, expectations, lifestyle, and long-term goals. He believes that empathy, honest communication, and trust form the foundation of exceptional care.
Dr. Davila’s interest in dentistry began early, inspired by watching his father practice dentistry in Lima with integrity and compassion. Seeing the trust his father built with patients left a lasting impression and sparked his commitment to education, professionalism, and clinical excellence. Today, his greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing the powerful transformation that occurs when patients see their new smile for the first time.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Davila earned numerous honors, including multiple Dean’s Distinguished List recognitions, the Andrews Society Senior Research Award, the Dental Student Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Tufts Merit Scholarship, and a Tufts University Summer Research Fellowship.
Outside the practice, Dr. Davila values meaningful relationships and experiences. He loves traveling with his wife, Helga, exploring new cultures and restaurants, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family. At home, he enjoys relaxing with their two Havanese dogs, Nina and Miski. A passionate book collector and music lover, he enjoys live performances—and even karaoke, despite admitting it may not be his strongest talent.
